SUPERNOVA 4 – Celebrating Life, While Giving Back To The Community!

Supernova 4! We are always so grateful to see the support that pours in from our family and friends which has helped make our annual Supernova celebration a memorable and meaningful success! Supernova 4 was made possible with the support of many of you, in addition to a lot of new community partners that helped contribute prizes and donations.

Thanks to all of you, we were able to individually wrap and deliver approximately, 98 toys/gift cards for children and teenagers at two shelters as well provide goody bags for their Moms. In addition, any toys that were left over were donated to one of the clinics from School Health Clinics of Santa Clara where my former co–workers/dear friends were kind enough to distribute toys to patients experiencing challenging times during the holidays.

The most touching and memorable moment that took place during our delivery of the toys on December 21st, was when a Latina Mom who was speaking with my Dad, called us over ( thank you to those who went to deliver the toys with us) because she wanted to speak with us. Through a powerful and touching choice of words (en espanol) she told us that she had never experienced the spirit of giving from complete strangers and that she was forever touched in her heart through this gesture that all of you (our community) did to help spread cheer to her daughter and other children at the shelter. I will be honest and say that there was not one dry tear at that very moment.

This year was especially challenging for the Espinosa and Galvan family with the loss of my Tio Bone right before Christmas and a day before we were scheduled to drop off the toys. Yet, I have to say that through the love and generosity of everyone around us, we were able to fulfill our commitment in my Tio’s honor and on behalf of all of you who donated. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We are excited to be in the process of planning SUPERNOVA 4! The tradition continues of celebrating life while giving back to our communities. Together, we have personally distributed over 200 toys to children in transitional housing and sponsored several families going through challenging times during the holidays. This has all been possible thanks to YOU!

The lovely ladies of SIGMA OMEGA PHI (DELTA CHAPTER- SJSU) will once again be co-sponsoring the event along with some exciting new event sponsors! Details dropping soon!
